Great & repectful discussion at OPR Sunrise Hearing

Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the OPR Sunrise Hearing on Friday.  There a was a tremendous turnout in numbers.  Obviously this is an important conversation to be having with massage therapists and consumers throughout the the state.

Chris Winters, the director of OPR, said that this was one of the most enjoyable Sunrise hearings he has been through.  He complemented everyone in attendance by saying “what a great group of professionals.”

Whether you were at the hearing or not, I encourage you to take a moment and send OPR an email stating your support of regulating massage therapy in Vermont.  Use your own words or get some ideas of wording with the sample letter.  Your letter can either be emailed to lnovins@sec.state.vt.us or mailed via the postal service.

OPR Meeting Date has been Set

I just received word from Larry Novins, legal counsel for OPR, that the date of the public meeting has been set for Friday, October 29th, at 9am.  More details to come on location and other specifics.  Sign up with our “Email Subscription” so that you do not miss out on the updates.
